Yes. Federal law mandates that all Plano (Non-Corrective) Contact Lenses are considered Medical Devices, and as such, require that you the customer visit an Eye Care Professional for an examination and obtain a valid prescription before being able to purchase any contact lenses.
Submitting your prescription information is very simple. The quickest way to get your prescription verified is to enter your Eye Care Professional's Information (name and phone number) in the Order Review section of the shopping cart. To do this just add the desired lenses to the shopping cart and proceed through the checkout system, entering all the required information. The last step before you submit your order, in the Order Review section, is where you will need to enter your Eye Care Professional's Information.
Verifying your contact lens prescription takes approximately 24 hours.
We care about you and your vision. Eye exams are not that expensive and well worth the money you spend, considering the value of your eyesight. Anyone who would sell you plano contact lenses, disregarding the law, does not care about the health of your eyes. Please consider that when making your purchase.
